In this example, I did a Coke and Mentos experiment. The teacher for this class is Ms.S. The 21st Century Skilled I used was Financial, Economic, and Business Literacy. During this experiment I had to buy materials for the experiment , like the Mentos. I made a personal economic choice. What I'm proud of was that the experiment went right. How I developed this skill is by using it in a real life setting. I used my money in a independent way for my chemistry experiment. The most difficult part about the experiment was the lab report I had to do after it. Coming up with a good conclusion was difficult. If I restarted this experiment I would angle the camera more upwards when I was filming the experiment. I've had to do lab reports in the past before. I can apply this to future learning by being responsible for materials for future experiments.
In this example I made a atomic model of the element nickel. The teacher for this class is Ms.S. The 21st century skill I used was Self-Directional Skills. How I used this 21st century skill is by monitoring my own time and setting a realistic goal to abide to. I got the project done at a reasonable pace and was determined to get it done with good effort. What I'm most proud of was that I had the idea to use a nickel guitar string to hang my project up. I also put the nickel guitar string package on my model. How I developed this skill was by doing this project at my own pace and sharing it on my portfolio. The most difficult part was making the model itself. The process was so dreadful, so annoying and so tedious. It took a lot of patients and a lot of helping resources. If I restarted this project what I would do differently is nothing. I did everything at the best of my ability and got an A on this project. This is nothing like I did in the past. I never had to make a 3D model of an atom before.
